Daval Computers Returns & Refunds Policy

Applies to: All purchases made online (via our website) and in-store.

  1. Your Statutory Rights:
    Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law.

Faulty, Mis-described or Unfit Goods

You have the legal right to a refund, repair or replacement if a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose — whether you bought it online or in store.

Within 30 days of purchase/delivery: you can reject the item for a full refund.

After 30 days but within six months: you may request a repair or replacement first. If the repair/replacement fails, you can then seek a refund.

After six months, you may still be entitled to a remedy, but you may need to show the fault was present when you bought it.

Proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or bank statement) may be required to process a return or claim.

  1. Returns for Change of Mind (Online Purchases Only):
    Under UK distance selling laws, if you buy goods online:

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to notify us that you wish to cancel your purchase (“cooling-off period”).

You then have 14 days after that to return the goods to us.

We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

You do not need to provide a reason for returning goods within this period.

Returns postage costs for change-of-mind returns are typically borne by the customer unless otherwise stated at the point of sale.

Example: If you receive an item on 1st June, you must notify us of cancellation by 15th June and return the item by 29th June.

  1. In-Store Purchases (Change of Mind):
    For goods purchased in store, unless they are faulty, there is no automatic legal right to return items for change of mind.

However, Daval Computers offers a voluntary goodwill return/exchange policy (see Section 5). If you wish to return an item you bought in store for a reason other than a fault, please bring it in with your receipt and we will assist you according to this policy.

We will confirm the returns process and provide a returns number and instructions.

Pack the item securely, with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and labels.

Clearly write the returns number on the outside of the parcel.

Return the goods using a trackable service; keep proof of postage.

In-Store Returns

Bring the product, original packaging, and your proof of purchase to any Daval Computers store location during opening hours.

  1. Goodwill Returns & Exchanges:
    For non-faulty goods purchased in store or online outside of the statutory cooling-off period, Daval Computers may offer at our discretion: exchange, store credit or refund

Conditions:

Items must be in unused condition with all original packaging, tags, and accessories.

Goods must be presented within 30 days of purchase (unless otherwise stated at point of sale).

This discretionary policy applies only if the product is not faulty.

  1. Items That Cannot Be Returned:
    Certain items may not be returnable for change of mind (unless faulty), including (but not limited to):

Personalised or made-to-order products

Downloadable software or digital content once downloaded

Opened sealed software/media if hygiene or licensing reasons apply

Faulty goods may be returned regardless of these conditions, subject to statutory rights.

  1. Refund Methods:
    Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible. If that is not possible, we will agree an alternative with you.
  2. Consumer Contracts Regulations Information (Online Sales):
    For online purchases you will receive details of your cancellation rights and how to exercise them at the time of purchase in compliance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
